Taping moving boxes is an essential step in the relocation process. It ensures that the items inside the box remain secure during transport and keeps your possessions from getting damaged in transit. There are some simple steps you can take to make sure you tape your boxes correctly, so here’s how to do it.

First, choose a good-quality packing tape that is at least 2 inches wide and made from thick plastic or polypropylene. Make sure it’s durable enough to withstand heavy usage and won’t easily tear or rip when handling. You will also need a sturdy box cutter so you can cut the tape quickly and easily if necessary.

Next, start by taping across the bottom of each box with several strips of packing tape before adding extra support on all sides. Make sure the strips overlap at least one inch so they stay securely in place throughout transport.
